DUET for AUDIENCE MEMBERS (2019)

"DUET for AUDIENCE MEMBERS" is intended to magnify the joy, chaos, and unexpectedness of co-creation, and celebrate differences in the creative process.

Those who encounter the work are asked to engage as they see fit: as participant-creators, as readers, as listeners, as critics.

Just as one half of each duet is given away by participant-creators to an unpredictable outcome, the printed text portion of "DUET for AUDIENCE MEMBERS" represents one half of an uncontrolled creation.

About Me

Hello, from Kristin.

I studied double bass and music education at The University of Miami Frost School of Music. Over the past two decades, I've performed bass, percussion, and other instruments with a number of ensembles, from jazz trios to full symphonies to experimental movement and circus arts groups. I compose and arrange for all types of instruments.

I am the co-Founder of South Bay Beat Institute and the Founder/Organizer of Bay Area Resistance Drummers (BARD).

During some working hours, I strive to contribute to our understanding of the Earth and our place in the Solar System, image far away space objects, and work toward a better future.
